Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister company Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to support the ITER challenge in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps while Energy Steel will supply sixty two solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint international research and improvement venture to show the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is beneath construction in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and would be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps will be an integral part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps shall be designed, built and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
